Hi, my name is Banu and I’m an art historian from Düsseldorf, Germany.

If you browse through my articles, you see that I’m not only interested in art, but also in the popular culture of the past, especially in finding its quirks, and how it emerged into our popular culture today. I like to call myself a modern cultural archeologist.

As a co-founder and one of the former head writers of KRAUT-Magazin, a magazine created for the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, I have gained some experience in creating a new project as part of a team and have accumulated some insight in how the writing and publishing world works.

I was also a part of the team that created the QuadriFinale, an event for the ending of the second Quadriennale Düsseldorf. Our team was assigned to organizing an event at KIT-Kunst im Tunnel. We worked with students of the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule to make soundscapes and extend the visual experience of the exhibition to an audiovisual one.

I also have gained some experience in gallery work as a curatorial assistant.
